AGVT holds only Australian government bonds, federal and state government debt, with no corporate bonds. Government bonds are among the lower-risk forms of Australian fixed income. When sharemarkets fall sharply, government bonds often hold value or rise, providing some portfolio diversification. At 0.10% it matches VAF on cost but offers purer government bond exposure. Monthly income distributions.
