ESPO is a pure play on the global gaming industry, companies like Nintendo, Tencent Games, EA, and Sea Limited. Gaming generates more revenue than the film and music industries combined, and the shift to mobile gaming, cloud gaming, and esports creates multiple growing revenue streams. At 0.55% it's expensive but provides focused sector exposure unavailable in broad ETFs. The fund is cyclical, gaming spend can fall in economic downturns as discretionary spending is cut.
Based on publicly available fund data. Not a recommendation to buy or sell.
