STW was the first ETF listed on the ASX in 2001, making it Australia's oldest exchange-traded fund. It tracks the S&P/ASX 200, the same 200 companies as IOZ, and has the tightest bid-ask spreads of any Australian equities ETF. At 0.05% the management fee is higher than A200 (0.04%); the S&P index methodology is widely used as the institutional benchmark. For most investors, STW, VAS, and A200 hold similar sector weights at comparable fee levels. STW has the highest trading volumes of any Australian equity ETF.
