STW was the first ETF listed on the ASX in 2001, making it Australia's oldest exchange-traded fund. It tracks the S&P/ASX 200, the same 200 companies as IOZ, and has among the tightest bid-ask spreads of Australian equities ETFs. At 0.05% the management fee is higher than A200 (0.04%); the S&P index methodology is widely used as the institutional benchmark. For most investors, STW, VAS, and A200 hold similar sector weights at comparable fee levels. STW has among the highest trading volumes of Australian equity ETFs.
