FAIR gives you broad Australian share exposure but screens out companies involved in fossil fuels, gambling, weapons, tobacco, and other areas. The result is an ASX portfolio that looks quite different to VAS, notably less energy and resources exposure, more healthcare and technology weight. At 0.49% it's significantly more expensive than VAS. Fossil fuel producers and major miners such as BHP and Woodside are excluded by the fund's screens, so its top holdings differ from a standard ASX index.
