OZBD holds a diversified portfolio of Australian government, semi-government, supranational and investment-grade corporate bonds, tracking the Bloomberg Australian Enhanced Yield Composite Bond Index. The enhanced-yield approach tilts toward bonds expected to offer higher income while keeping investment-grade quality, with an average credit rating around AA- and modified duration of roughly 5.7 years. At 0.19% per year it is a low-fee way to add domestic fixed income. Bond prices move inversely to interest rates, so the fund can fall in value when rates rise; conversely it can provide portfolio ballast when shares fall. The running yield is approximately 4.4% (running yield differs from a trailing distribution yield and is not guaranteed). As an Australian-domiciled fund it is unhedged at the portfolio level.
