VGS is the largest global shares ETF on the ASX by AUM (approximately $15.5B). It provides exposure to approximately 1,250 of the world's largest companies across the US, Europe, Japan and other developed markets at 0.18% per year. The US makes up about 70% of the fund, meaning heavy exposure to Nvidia, Apple, Microsoft and other large US technology companies. VGS is unhedged, so the AUD/USD exchange rate affects returns: when the Aussie dollar falls, VGS rises in AUD terms. The fund has returned 13.26% per annum over 10 years to March 2026. Past performance is not a reliable indicator of future returns. VGS does not include Australian companies.
