VTS provides exposure to the entire US sharemarket, from Nvidia and Apple all the way down to small-cap companies. Unlike IVV (S&P 500 only) or NDQ (tech-heavy), VTS owns over 3,500 US companies. At 0.03%, VTS has one of the lowest management fees on the ASX. An important note: VTS is US-domiciled, which creates potential US estate tax implications for Australian investors with holdings above USD $60,000. Consult a tax adviser with cross-border expertise before investing.
