IWLD was renamed in June 2021 from 'iShares Core MSCI World All Cap ETF' to 'iShares Core MSCI World ex Australia ESG ETF'. It now tracks the MSCI World Ex Australia Custom ESG Leaders Index, selecting the top 50% of companies by ESG score from within each MSCI sector. This means better ESG credentials relative to sector peers, while maintaining broad developed market exposure. The fund excludes companies involved in controversial industries including tobacco, controversial weapons, fossil fuels and alcohol. At 0.09% it has one of the lowest management fees among ESG-focused global ETFs on the ASX.
